Terms of Service

NZ Barbershop (“NZ Barber”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a Tucson, Arizona-based barbershop operating an online marketplace that connects clients seeking barbering services with independent barbers and barbershops.

By accessing or using the NZ Barber platform — including our website at nzbarber.com, our web application, or any related services — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

NZ Barber provides a digital booking platform that allows:

• Clients to browse barber profiles, view services and pricing, book appointments, and make payments
• Barbers to list their services, manage availability, accept bookings, and receive payments

NZ Barber is a platform provider and is not itself a barbering service. Individual barbers are independent service providers, not employees of NZ Barber.

To use the platform you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others
• Notify us immediately at legal@nzbarber.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account
• Be at least 16 years of age, or have parental consent if under 18

NZ Barber reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful conduct.

Specific cancellation policies may vary by barber and will be displayed on their profile. Clients are responsible for reviewing these policies before booking.

NZ Barber is not responsible for disputes arising directly between clients and barbers. However, we may assist in mediating disputes where appropriate.

Payments for services are processed through your chosen provider at the time of booking:

NZ Barber charges a platform service fee on each completed booking. This fee is deducted from the payment before the remainder is paid to the barber. The current fee rate is displayed at checkout.

Refunds are subject to the individual barber’s cancellation policy and are processed via the original payment method. NZ Barber platform fees are non-refundable unless the cancellation is due to a platform error.

SMS messages are delivered via Twilio. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by adjusting your notification preferences in account settings. Opting out of SMS will not affect your ability to use the platform.

Barbers using NZ Barber agree to:

• Hold all required licences and certifications for their services in Arizona
• Accurately represent their services, pricing, and availability on the platform
• Honour confirmed bookings or provide timely notice of cancellations
• Maintain a professional standard of service and conduct
• Comply with all applicable Arizona health, safety, and consumer protection laws

Clients using NZ Barber agree to:

• Arrive on time for scheduled appointments
• Provide accurate contact details including a valid mobile number
• Cancel bookings within the required notice period to avoid fees
• Treat barbers with respect and professionalism
• Pay for services in accordance with the agreed price

All content on the NZ Barber platform, including logos, design, and software, is the property of NZ Barbershop and is protected by US and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable US law, NZ Barbershop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to: loss of profits, loss of data, or personal injury arising from services provided by independent barbers.

NZ Barber’s total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total platform fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pima County, Arizona.
